How we size and plan a new AC
A new system only performs as well as it was sized and installed. Swapping in the same tonnage as the old unit is the most common mistake we see. We look at the home itself: square footage, windows and sun exposure, insulation, the ductwork and the return air. Then we recommend a system that fits, and explain why.
What a replacement includes
- A visit to measure and inspect, and a written estimate (free)
- Matched outdoor and indoor equipment
- Permit where required
- Removal and disposal of the old equipment
- New line set, pad, disconnect and drain work as needed
- Start-up, refrigerant charge check and a walkthrough of the new system and thermostat
Warranty
Every AC installation includes a 1-year labor warranty from us, plus the manufacturer's 10-year parts warranty.

Newer systems are rated in SEER2. A higher rating uses less power for the same cooling. We show you the options side by side so you can decide what makes sense for your home and budget.
Do not forget the ducts. A new AC on old, leaking ductwork cannot deliver the comfort or savings you paid for. Ask us to inspect your ducts during the same visit, and see our duct replacement service.
